Thanks to the input of... um... Idris Elba, Emanuel’s ‘Need You’ began taking on a new lease of life just hours after the Canadian released it. It’s taken from his upcoming debut EP, which he described as a representation of “so many things. It is healing. Healing for those things in the past that would have us in bondage, in depression, in sadness”. The track itself is full of emotion, genuine passion, and hope. It was this last one that Elba picked up on the most, encouraging people to submit videos and photos that could be combined into a collaborative work to show the world getting through the current crisis. The resultant video is a way for the world to connect in a time when it’s almost impossible to do so. - Dan Peeke
